"This piece started during one of the live drawing sessions with artist, Kyle Krauskopf. He chose the theme "Space." I knew that the SpaceX + NASA launch was going to be happening soon and my mind went to the impacts of space exploration. A couple of years ago, I listened to a podcast about orbital debris, also known as space junk.

Did you know that there are millions of pieces of space junk flying around Earth? They are pieces left over from collisions, parts of rockets and satellites, basically remnants leftover from 50+ years of space travel. There are no international laws about who is responsible to clean it up, however, every country that has traveled to space should share the responsibility of doing so. If humans do end up living on the red planet, will they be more mindful about how they treat their new home? Or is it another colonial conquest driven by greed, pride, and ego? A future of the haves living on Mars and the have nots left behind on Earth, surrounded and filled with debris."

"I consider my "circlism" work a fine craft conceived through obsessive repetition and meditation. My doodles are brain "vomit," an uncontrollable reaction to the world." - ST Rivera
