Nordson Corporation Foundation

What is the Nordson Corporation Foundation?

The Nordson Corporation Foundation awards grants to non-profits in our communities throughout the United States. Since 1989, the Foundation has awarded more than $60 million in grants to improve the quality of life in our communities, placing a special focus on causes related to education. Employees support the foundation by making donations during our annual A Time to Give Campaign, or by participating in a Community Affairs Committee (CAC). Committees review grant applications and vote to distribute Foundation funds to deserving local causes. During the last financial year, the Foundation gave out 562 grants totaling $7.8 million.

What is the CAC?

The Nordson Community Affairs Committee (CAC) is a group of Nordson employees that review grant requests from its surrounding community. Each major Nordson location has its own CAC. Each CAC has an annual budget to fulfill grant requests. For our location, this includes both Lorain and Cuyahoga counties.

How Does the CAC Review Grants?

Each grant request is reviewed by the employee members of the CAC on a quarterly basis. Site visits are made to review the grant with the requesting organizations. The CAC then meets quarterly to make recommendations on which grants to approve and for how much. The recommendations are then presented to the Nordson Corporation Foundation Board for approval.

The CAC supports non-profit organizations in line with Nordson Corporation Foundation's mission.

The Nordson Corporation Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life in our communities by improving educational outcomes that enable individuals to become self-sufficient, active participants in the community.
