It takes two years, thousands of hours, and tens of thousands of dollars to raise and train each guide dog. All Fidelco guide dogs are provided at no cost to clients, thanks to generous support from donors like you.

More about Jay!

Jay is a retired Middlebury Police K-9. Jay graduated from the Connecticut State Police K-9 Unit, and was certified in Patrol and Narcotics. Jay was acquired from Fidelco and came from Litter J-26. Jay unbelievably loved being a police K-9, and was very strong in tracking. Jay loved searching for missing people, or people that committed crimes and fled on foot. Jay received several awards, and assisted many other agencies. Now that he's retired he loves swimming, and boat rides. His favorite toy without a doubt is a tennis ball. For us as a family touring Fidelco we never realized how much goes into training a dog for the visually impaired. Fidelco gives life back to people that are visually impaired and you can never put a price tag on that. Fidelco thank you for what you do.
