It takes two years, thousands of hours, and tens of thousands of dollars to raise and train each guide dog. All Fidelco guide dogs are provided at no cost to clients, thanks to generous support from donors like you.

More about Matie!

Matie ( Matilda-May, Mat) is a 11.5 year old career change Fidelco dog after we fostered her as a pup. She is attentive, intelligent and loving with everyone she meets. She loves to give kisses and snuggle in for a nap close to her humans.
Matie loves car rides, going for walks and hiking in the woods. Walking through the water is one of her favorite rewards during a walk, be it in the ocean, a woodland creek or splashing in her pool at home.

Matie loves to chase and then acquire all the balls and colleagues t them into what we call a 'nest'. She guards them from any other dog, even her brothers!
