It takes two years, thousands of hours, and tens of thousands of dollars to raise and train each guide dog. All Fidelco guide dogs are provided at no cost to clients, thanks to generous support from donors like you.

Ryder Saw my daughter Michelle through her under grad program at Uconn and her Masters degree to be a teacher for the visually impaired at Umass, He enabled her to spend 3 months as an exchange student in Italy during her undergrad years and to go on countless other adventures. He lived with her in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Utah and worked diligently to his retirement this past new year. No longer able to keep up with Chelle's high energy pace he has moved back to Connecticut with me where he has retired, he comes to work with me every day and is spoiled by everyone in the office. He enjoys multiple hikes and boat rides every week. He has 3 beds, one at the office and 2 at his home so he can rest up from his retirement activities.


Miles is full of energy and really able to keep up and even push Michelle, they are an unstoppable team! They work at Utah's School for the Deaf and Blind, hike, camp, rock climb and live independently in Utah to mention a few highlights all attainable in huge part because of Fidelco' s mission. They ride the bus and train systems often and frequent the gym and soooo much more!
