A full sponsorship covers one youth to attend this year-long program. NCCJ ANYTOWN begins with a six-day residential experience where youth learn to identify the many "isms" in our society including racism, religionism, heterosexism, classism, genderism, sizeism and ableism. Students participate in an in-depth examination of prejudice and its by-product, discrimination, enhance their communication skills, and prepare to take their knowledge and skills into their schools and communities. Afterwards, youth participate in action projects overseen by school advisors and NCCJ staff, and meet monthly with their peers for continuing education and social activities.

Ensuring that we have adequate staffing to meet the needs of the youth during NCCJ ANYTOWN is critical to its success. Personnel such as our Social Workers help students to process the information they've learned in a healthy and constructive way. Our Social Workers ensure that questions are answered and support is given throughout the residential experience to anyone who needs it.
