What a pedigree! The 992 heifer stacks two of my all-time favorite individuals, LD Capitalist 316 and Thomas Lady Jet 2672. 316 needs no introduction, as his combination of proven calving ease, growth, capacity and muscle has made him a breed leader for registrations and his list of sons in stud continues to grow. 316 looked great in the flesh this spring as an 8 year old bull. The dam of 992, 2672, produced my favorite herd sire to date, Balance 6899. Balance has many friends here at the ranch for his exceptional combination of calving ease, growth, carcass quality and maternal quality. Unfortunately, Balance suffered an injury this year and had to be put down. A full brother to 992 will take his place as a resident herdsire at Christensen Genetics.
