A Summer of Desserts from Paragon Bakery

Make your summer a little sweeter with a special treat from Paragon Bakery each month:

  • June = 6" Cake (flavor options: chocolate, white, strawberry, lemon, or carrot)

Shannon (baker, and owner) grew up in Los Angeles, attended Duke University in North Carolina, and then returned to Los
Angeles where she worked as an assistant pastry chef at an upscale restaurant. While there, she learned
about Food Science and left for Kansas State University, earning a Masters in Food Science. This led to a
position as a Food Scientist at The Pillsbury Company in Minnesota where she worked in Product
Development of baked goods. Continuing her education, Shannon earned her MBA from the University
of Minnesota. After having children, Shannon left Pillsbury and used her business skills working with a
real estate company based out of Los Angeles. During COVID, Shannon learned of a bakery in
Chanhassen that was closing. Feeling the pull to return to the food industry, Shannon decided to buy
Paragon Bakery. Shannon's husband, Brad, and children (Ray, Ethan, and Brie) have been extremely
supportive in this new labor of love.
