Featuring wine from the Barboursville Winery, this basket includes one bottle each of their red, white, and sparkling wine.

• Octagon 2017: A wine of highly distinctive character, achieved in blending estate-grown Bordeaux varietals, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and/or Petit Verdot, Octagon's great prestige rests further on its being created only in fine vintages, and with the most astute selection from the harvest. This is the highest expression of our estate's European derivation and inspiration, crafted to be a wine of distinctive character and age worthiness in every incarnation.
• Chardonnay Reserve 2019: The grapes are allowed to achieve a proportionately higher potential alcohol on the wine than our classic Chardonnay. Then, selecting 2nd and 3rd-use barrels of French and American oak for fermentation and for aging, we preserve Chardonnay's inherent effusiveness and lengthen its palate performance without malolactic fermentation. Core varietal aromas and flavors are thereby captured, and extended by batonnage through several months on the lees.
• Brut Cuvée 1814: A collaboration with our founder's Tenuta Il Bosco estate in Oltrepò Pavese, this sparkling wine is created in metodo classico and is 100% Pinot Noir of DOCG designation. Our winemaker, Luca Paschina, developed this wine in collaboration with his counterpart in Italy, Stefano Ferrante, and in consultation with Nicolas Seconde from Champagne. Ideal for celebrations as well as for fine companionship with dining, the Cuvée 1814 honors the date of Thomas Jefferson's design for Governor Barbour's landmark mansion at our estate, a Virginia historic landmark.
