Kosta Browne Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2017. Valued at $109. Donated by Bryan Farres.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Forest floor with blackberry, Bing cherry and bramble fruits. A hint of Rosemary.

Mouth: Thoughtful and focused. Intense dark fruits with notes of blackberry and blueberry

CRITICAL ACCLAIM

96 points by Jeb Dunnuck, "the appellation 2017 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast reveals a ruby/purple, translucent color as well as a stunning perfume of black raspberries, cassis, crushed violets, spice box, sweet earth. It's rich, medium to full-bodied, has beautiful depth, a kiss of background oak, and a great finish. Mostly destemmed and aged 17 months in 40% new French oak, it's a brilliant wine to drink over the coming decade or more."

96 points by Wilfred Wong of Wine.com

94 points by Wine Enthusiast, "this coastal wine is smooth, seductive and earthy, with focused acidity and tension. Orange, blackberry and strawberry are seasoned in cardamom and dried herb. *Editors' Choice* (VB)"

92 points by Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Sea Slopes Fort Ross Winery Pinot Noir 2018. Valued at $35. Donated by Colin Stowell.

CRITICAL ACCLAIM

91 points by Wine Enthusiast's Virginie Boone, "Demure fruit highlights a silky body of delicate, varietal layers in this well-made wine. Rounded, it offers a balanced approach to richness, an exploration of dark cherry, pomegranate and forest floor."

Donated By Bryan Farres and Chief Colin Stowell
