More about the Artist:

Mark Freeman was born in 1962 and has been percolating as a modern abstract
expressionist artist for 55 years.
In 2018 Mark took the plunge into painting. Midway into 2021, he has painted over 250
paintings.
Mark cares less about how long he has been painting, (in time), and more about how long he
has painted, (in feet), into his vision of painting 100 miles of canvas before he dies.
Mark is a relentless autodidact being about 98% self-taught with little interest in formal art
education because admittedly, Mark doesn't take instruction well. None the less, Mark is a
veracious student of art and artists throughout history.
Curiosity is the catalyst for his art. Mark is fiercely experimental. Nothing is off limits. He
wants to try everything. It seems like every object or material can be art to Mark, even old,
rusty barbed wire which Mark has integrated into several works.
Mark enjoys creating in acrylic, wood, canvas, broken glass, coins, found objects, nature, and
rusty barbed wire.
Mark's main belief: "Art is Energy".
While Mark respects all artists and forms, he prefers abstract because to him, it requires more
imagination than realism. Says Mark; "I like to paint abstract art because I like to paint things
that don't exist."
