Help support our Emergency & Fire Preparedness Initiative!

Thanks to the support of the Marin County Fire Department and various animal and fire experts from throughout our community, Halleck Creek Ranch has a comprehensive evacuation and shelter-in-place plan for our horses and humans - but, we need your help to make that plan even more robust.

Halleck Creek Ranch currently owns 18 therapy horses who call our ranch home, all of whom are critical to fulfill our mission. In the event of an emergency such as a wildfire, our plan is to evacuate our horses to another location, if at all possible.

The feed and equipment needed to properly care for and manage 18 horses while offsite can be quite substantial, especially if we're evacuated for any length of time.

Last August, in response to a nearby fire, we evacuated our horses to another ranch, but had to return to our ranch multiple times to bring the feed, pipe panels, and equipment necessary to properly care for them.

In the future, we may not have the luxury of time on our side, so the purchase of a cargo trailer to have packed, ready, and stored off-site will ensure our ability to care for our horses in the event of another evacuation.

No act of generosity is too small to make a difference. Help us purchase a cargo trailer by making a donation today!

Please note, this lot is a donation to HCR. No goods or services will be exchanged.
