TOUR DETAILS
Our Diamondback Gulch Tour brings the Arizona high country to life with a rugged off-road adventure. Step into one of our open-air Pink Jeep Wranglers and buckle up - you're about to see why this tour offers something for everyone.
As you start out, your personal Certified Interpretive Guide will point out some of Sedona's most iconic red-rock formations. You'll also pass scenic Boynton Canyon, a setting for the 1947 John Wayne film, "Angel and the Badman" and the site of hidden ancient ruins. Mingus Mountain and the Black Hills appear in the distance, standing watch over the peaceful Verde Valley.
After arriving in Coconino National Forest, you'll head down the rugged and remote Greasy Spoon trail. A section of the original wagon route between Sedona and Prescott, this century-old trail stretches back to an era before Arizona was a state. Catch glimpses of a colorful past when the cliffs, canyons and forests were wild, uncharted territory and 50,000 Texas longhorn cattle roamed the land.
Continue on to Sidewinder Trail, where the rocky terrain falls into Diamondback Gulch-a deep ravine that slices through the land. Hold on while your guide expertly navigates the steep descent into the chasm before climbing out again. Expansive views greet you on the other side; the fiery red-rock trail contrasts the cool green of the native landscape and the brilliant blue sky.
Finally, an easy ride from the forest back to Sedona will give you plenty of time to catch your breath, steady your feet and plan your next off-road adventure with Pink Jeep Tours.
