I am self-taught on most of the instruments I play which I believe is a huge accomplishment. I believe I should win because I have shown a lot of determination in pursuing my love for music, but most of all I want to use this money to help pay for my educational expenses because although I am only 13 I was recently accepted into California State University of Los Angeles and I need this money to continue to pursue my other passions of math and sciences. -- Allanah Mouton, resident of Citrus Grove
I believe I should win this competition because I have worked very hard to develop my skills in an area that most people my age would probably not get to hear about or think of themselves doing if I didn't. I want to blaze a trail for more young people like me to try talents that are outside of the box and I want to use the money to save for college and also show appreciation to my family and loved ones who have been there for me since day one. -- Annessa Mouton, resident of Citrus Grove
The reason I deserve to win this year's CORE's Got Talent competition is because I believe it's never to late to pursue your dreams and talents. Being a mother of four, I wannabe an inspiration to my children, show them that it's never too late to do something they love. - Debra Huerta
I think I should win this year's CORE's Got Talent competition because my talent is very unique and not easy to do. It speaks to this year's theme as I give a voice to Wilson so he can be heard as he wishes he could fly. Thank you - Donna Rumisek, resident of Day Creek Senior Villas
I would like to win to promote the art and culture of guitar in the United States. Through many generations, the guitar has been fundamental in the accompaniments and soloists in different styles of music! Let the guitar not die! Long live! - Edgar Devia, resident of Villaggio on Route 66
"I believe that a society so open to so much diversity of talent, art and culture deserves to continue acquiring solid foundations that allow it to enrich the art and vision that especially the new generations will be exploring and experiencing in the immediate future. I believe that in my desire to unify and especially the expression of a song that has been sung in several languages deserves to win such a competition, to show that art does not know divisions or barriers; art unites and belongs to those who adopt it." -- Fidel Barron, resident of Oakcrest Terrace
I believe I should win this year's CORE's Got Talent because I feel my talent is quite unique. It is not something that is very easy to do and takes a lot of coordination. - Gorgeanna Corona, resident of Mission Cove
Thank you so much for voting me into the top 12. I'm so grateful to be part of this talent show. Talent means a lot to me. It's something I've always been told I have, but not something I've truly gotten the courage to share. When I sing and write music - the lyrics seemingly heal me. I hope to spread the same light and love through my music to others. I'm still making more and more songs and would love to share it with you all. Once again thank you ?? Peace, love, and Happiness. - Kayden Pope
National CORE has given me freedom as a single mother. I have an affordable home and childcare options through National CORE Citrus Grove that has given me the opportunity to get a job and further myself as a woman and mother. There is absolutely no way I would be able to have gotten a job with San Bernardino School District if it wasn't for National CORE. I hope that I am able to impact lives the way National CORE does for the community. Thank you for all those involved in giving low-income communities the opportunity to thrive. - Sandra Seise, resident of Citrus Grove
