With locations in El Segundo and Hermosa Beach, Mama D's is close to all of the beach cities. Every dish is prepared with only the best ingredients using my grandmother's original recipes and we know you will enjoy them as much as all of our loyal customers do.
There's a sign on the wall at Mama D's Italian Kitchen that reads, "Family: We May Not Have It Together?But Together We Have It All." It's an appropriate motto for what may be the most family friendly eateries in the South Bay - packed with family groups often including a wide array of toddlers and rug rats, happily making a mess of themselves and everything within reach with handfuls of pasta, red sauce, pizza and other kid friendly food. (Note: Wear washable fabrics!)

Mama D's has long been a destination for families, with crayons, puzzles - and a chance to "Draw Your Server and Win a Free Pizza!" (My daughter first went about two weeks?before she was born. Seriously! The restaurant was very solicitous of my very pregnant wife.)

The kid's menu is bigger than most, offering such favorites as pasta with butter, pasta with red sauce, kid's lasagna, cheese pizza, and a "kid's make your own pizza" option that is being offered in the auction today! That same menu tells us that "cheese helps build strong bones and teeth." But this isn't a Chuck E. Cheese with better food - not even close. As long as you don't mind the clamor of young 'uns, adults can settle into a decent, and decently priced, wine list with most every bottle available by the glass, and some decent beers, including the requisite craft models, displayed on a chalkboard.
