York College/CUNY, President Dr. Berenecea Johnson-Eanes & Foundation Board Chair Michele Chow-Tai are thrilled to host the beloved educational institution's 2021 Foundation Board Annual Fundraising Gala. This year she has invited industry pros to create a first-time virtual celebration, which will allow the college's supporters to experience ONE York up close and personal.
This year the evening's special event will be raising funds for helping students complete their education, Student Emergency Fund grants, incoming students' orientation, and engagement, as well as growth and development of our Performing Arts programs and newly renovated Performing Arts Center. The Annual York College Foundation Gala will take place this year in the virtual space, with a new friend to York, Broadway Director/Producer Richard Jay-Alexander and Program Producer, Ruby Locknar, who will surely make the May 1 program a memorable evening.
A Virtual MOSAIC, speaks to the unique composition of the students, faculty, and staff, that are a part of York College's young but rich history. Moreover, it is inclusive of the diversity of the community in which our campus sits. The night will consist of special guests, history, honorees, performers, stories, first-hand accounts and will provide entertainment, knowledge, and a little bit of heartbreak, too, as we live through this unprecedented time in history.
The evening's festivities will begin at 6:30 P.M. EST on Saturday, May 1, 2021, with a live pre-cocktail reception, then our mainstage event and wrap up with a live post-show VIP party. We are excited about our Saturday night "dress-up affair" during which there will be many ways to help York achieve its fundraising goals, including auction items and unique experiences.
