Who doesn't love visiting the penguins at Brookfield Zoo?

Curious, dynamic, and friendly, sisters Cara and Kukla can be seen swimming in the penguin habitat within the Living Coast, or waddling about during the Zoo's daily penguin encounter.

Now imagine having the opportunity to truly know them, and to play a key role in providing top-notch care for the animals of Brookfield Zoo by becoming Cara & Kukla's VIP Lead Patron.

What would this look like?
There are so many reasons to take part in this exclusive opportunity!

As Care and Kukla's VIP Lead Patron, your family name will be on display at the Living Coast at Brookfield Zoo for one year (beginning July 1, 2021). You will have special VIP access, allowing you to truly get to know these precocious penguins. This includes:

  • A private penguin encounter with one painting, with VIP parking, a cart tour, and lunch for six.
  • A Zoom chat or Birthday shout out with a member of Cara & Kukla's animal care team.
  • Regular video and written updates - allowing you up close and personal (but safe!) face to face access.
  • Additionally, you'll receive photos, cards, and name recognition in the Chicago Zoological Society's Annual Report.

You can help make a difference by sponsoring Cara & Kukla at the VIP Lead Patron level.

More about Cara & Kukla:
Cara and Kukla have been delighting guests since hatching at the Living Coast in 2016. Their curious natures and outgoing personalities made them regular participants in the early days of the Zoo's public penguin encounter experience, allowing hundreds of visitors to engage with them one-on-one. Recently, both have become mothers - Cara laid two eggs in 2020, raising one with her mate, Adrian, while the other was placed with an experienced foster pair to help ensure the survival of both chicks. With her mate Ceviche, Kukla laid two eggs in February 2021. One egg did not survive, but the second egg hatched and was placed with an experienced foster pair.
