Do you enjoy watching the Grevy's zebras when you visit Brookfield Zoo?

Free-spirited, mysterious, and fiercely independent, Nyota is a young but iconic staple at Brookfield Zoo.

Now imagine having the opportunity to truly know her, and to play a key role in providing top-notch care for the animals of Brookfield Zoo by becoming Nyota's VIP Lead Patron.

What would this look like?
There are so many reasons to take part in this exclusive opportunity! As Nyota's VIP Lead Patron, your family name will be on display at the Grevy's zebra habitat at Brookfield Zoo for one year (beginning July 1, 2021). You will have special VIP access, allowing you to truly get to know this exquisite equine. This includes:

  • An exclusive Grevy's zebra feeding, with VIP parking, a cart tour and lunch for six.
  • A Zoom chat or Birthday shout out with a member of Nyota's animal care team.
  • Regular video and written updates - allowing you up close and personal (but safe!) face to face access.
  • Additionally, you'll receive photos, cards, and name recognition in the Chicago Zoological Society's Annual Report.

You can help make a difference by sponsoring Nyota at the VIP Lead Patron level.

More about Nyota
Nyota was born here at Brookfield Zoo on July 7, 2015, to mom Kali and sire Nazim. Her name means "star" in Swahili and is reflective of her shining personality. She is happiest while calmly chowing on hay, but can also occasionally be seen exploring her habitat or play chasing with her herdmate, Mypa. Nyota is the friendliest of our zebras and will often approach keepers for extra attention.
