Be in the "know" when Dr. Lenore Tedesco takes you and a guest on a private boat tour to some of the Seven Mile Island Innovation Laboratory (SMIIL) project sites to learn first-hand about this innovative work. The tour may include a visit to Great Flats, Ring, Sturgeon, Shark and/or Gull Islands to share project goals and the progress that has been made in the development of innovative techniques for marsh restoration and habitat creation using dredged material. This on-the-ground tour is a one-of-a-kind experience where you will see first-hand this important work. The two-hour tour will be by 16 ft skiff in the calm back-bay waters leaving from The Wetlands Institute dock. All you need is a pair of water shoes or boots and the desire to learn.
