Hang out with Visual Arts Chair Margy Stover and chat "art" with her as she takes you on a guided tour of her fave pieces in the Art Institute of Chicago (includes admission for four and tickets for four to one special exhibit). Alternatively, you choose the works and she'll talk you through some facts about the artist and what was going on in art during that time!

Margy Stover has taught at The Academy since 2003 and has been Visual Arts Department Chair since 2008. In addition to The Academy, she has ongoing art and design residencies in Chicago Public Schools through affiliations with organizations such as Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education, the Illinois Arts Council, and the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust. She is the recipient of several Chicago Community Arts Assistance Program Grants, a Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund Teacher Program Grant, and a Fulbright-Hays Seminar Abroad China. Stover has taught and exhibited regionally as well as internationally, including a residency as a teaching artist in Ireland ("Blueprints to Intaglio Plates: Exploring Georgian Architecture Through Printmaking," a collaboration with The Royal Society of Antiquaries of Ireland and Graphic Studio Dublin funded by Irish Arts Council) and a visiting and exhibiting artist in Slovenia (Summer Summit 8 -City Museum, Ptuj, Slovenia).
