Our very own Musical Theatre chair Andy Robinson and another Musical Theatre faculty member will coordinate a musical watch party with you and give background and information on the musical!

Andy Robinson's academic publications include Advocating for Abolition, co-authored with Joan Brodsky-Schur and published with Social Studies School Service, an extended classroom simulation of an abolitionist convention. He was a founding member of the company Shakespeare-to-Go in New York City, which brought free Shakespeare to public school children. Regionally, he has been a creative associate with the Wagon Wheel Theatre for ten years where he has performed in dozens of shows and has directed such shows including Blithe Spirit, 9 to 5, and The Importance of Being Earnest. His Chicago credits include the House Theatre (The Nutcracker), Porchlight Music Theatre (Assassins), Red Tape (The Merchant of Venice), and Assassins in Concert at the Chicago Humanties Festival. Among the shows that Andy has helmed at The Academy are Company, Into the Woods, Merrily We Roll Along, City of Angels, Urinetown, Anything Goes, Grease, The Pirates of Penzance, and The Taming of the Shrew. In addition to directing and acting, Robinson moonlights as a designer, prop-builder, and scenic artist.
