Osage Beach's oldest hotel and tavern has been renovated into the most upscale lodging and dining experience at The Lake of the Ozarks. Originally built in 1932 by B. Ray Franklin,"Franklin's Osage Beach Hotel", is an architectural marvel. The original project included 3 story concrete pillars, large steel beams, beautiful hardwood floors and stone harvested from Ha Ha Tonka. When Franklin died in the mid1930's, his wife took over running the hotel until 1946. It was then sold to the Bruner family who changed the name to The Osage Beach Lodge, and ran it until 1960 when the hotelclosed.
