A one-of-a-kind opportunity to live and drink like a laird awaits a party of up to sixteen at the marvelous Fyvie Castle in Aberdeenshire. Fyvie Castle served as a hunting lodge for King William the Lion in the early 13th century and was used by the Scottish Monarchy until 1390. Since then, Fyvie has belonged to five different families, each of whom is believed to have built a new tower, transforming the hunting lodge into one of Scotland's finest baronial buildings.

The highlight of your trip is a private VIP tour for your whole group (up to sixteen) of The Macallan Estate. This is an exclusive experience in support of the National Trust for Scotland Foundation USA's gala and only available by invitation. The new Macallan Distillery is a striking piece of architecture that marries whisky making heritage with an innovative vision that has been at the heart of The Macallan for almost 200 years.

Your private VIP tour begins with tea/coffee at the iconic Easter Elchies House, depicted on every bottle of The Macallan. You will then embark on a private tour of the 485 acre The Macallan Estate, past the warehouses with slumbering casks inside, alongside our barley fields and down to the mighty River Spey. Your journey will continue to the Distillery Experience where you will gain insight into the process, production, people and passion that make our single malt whisky so unique. The experience will culminate in a special tasting of The Macallan whiskies at Easter Elchies House.

Accommodations are for four nights, Monday to Friday, in Fyvie Castle's Preston Tower apartments - which, as of writing, are not haunted! The apartment provides stunning accommodation for sixteen guests. It is the ultimate choice for a memorable escape to Scotland. Discover four enchanting floors of winding nooks and mezzanines, a spiral staircase and even a bedroom within one of the traditional turrets. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook up feasts for the group.

Receive a private tour of Fyvie's impressive collection of fine art, including one of the largest private collections of Raeburns in the world. The extensive grounds include an 18th-century walled garden that has been redeveloped as a garden of Scottish fruits and vegetables. We can also arrange tours at nearby National Trust for Scotland properties like Culloden, Craigievar, and Brodie Castle.
