An early 19th-century two volume etymological dictionary of the Scottish language, with two supplemental volumes, by John Jamieson, D.D., fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and of the Society of the Antiquities of Scotland. Published in Edinburgh by The University Press in 1808. The four volumes are half-bound in leather and cloth with only minor wear and tear to the spine and some humidity related damage within. Otherwise in excellent condition!
