Arts and culture abound in this package inspired by our 2021 Great Scot, Dundee native Brian Cox.

This offer will immerse you in everything from the visual arts to design and engineering feats originating from Dundee.

Your home base and accommodations for three nights are at the House of Dun in Montrose, an elegant Georgian country house set amid glorious gardens and woodland. The beautifully refurbished North Stables Apartment comfortably sleeps four guests in its two twin bedrooms. Please note that the apartment is located on the second floor, up one flight of stone steps.

Designed by architect William Adam, House of Dun is every bit the perfect 18th-century laird's home. During your stay, enjoy a private tour of the country house, known for its masterful plasterwork and cutting edge kitchen technology! You are also invited to a private guided tour of the Barry Mill, a water-powered mill which produced food and provided work for local people for almost 800 years.

Less than an hour drive from Montrose is the V&A Dundee, Scotland's first design museum, where you will enjoy a private guided tour with Barry Ferguson, Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships. Barry will take you and your guests through the Scottish Design Galleries and special exhibitions. The current exhibition, Night Fever: Designing Club Culture, will be on view until January 2022 and Michael Clark will run from March/April 2022. Following your tour of the V&A Dundee is a guided tour of the nearby Discovery Point, an award-winning museum that is home to RRS Discovery and documents the ship's highly successful journey to the Antarctic.

Also on offer is a private tour with The Duke and Duchess of Fife of their stunning home, Kinnaird Castle, in Angus. Kinnaird is a magnificent fifteenth-century castle and estate covering 7,000 acres. Inside the Castle is 600 years of family history in objects, paintings, and stories. Enjoy a personal and unique tour of Kinnaird with the Duke and Duchess as they share with you the history of their ancestors who have played pivotal and central roles in Scotland's story.

Finally, return home to your very own harbor painting by W.P. Vannet (1917-1984), a graduate of Dundee College of Art and a student of James McIntosh Patrick. Vannet was a painter and printmaker best known for harbor and shipping scenes in Holland and around Arbroath. He took inspiration from the Dundee Group, including his teacher JM Patrick and the artist James Reville. The iconic harbor painting is 24" x 30" (framed), dated 1935.

Three nights at the House of Dun North Stables Apartment, subject to availability, excluding Christmas and New Year. All tours are subject to availability at a mutually agreeable time. This lot includes an oversized item (framed W.P. Vannet painting) that may be picked up in Manhattan. Cost of shipping is not included. Offer expires December 31, 2022.

Generously donated by The Duke and Duchess of Fife, V&A Dundee and Barry Ferguson, Donna Schinderman, and the National Trust for Scotland.
