Your very own tartan ensemble, as designed by Prickly Thistle and worn by Edith Bowman, host of the 2021 Burns Big Night In

The 2021 Burns Big Night In brought the intimate annual gathering at Burns Cottage into our own homes for the first time ever. Host Edith Bowman led us through an evening of song, poetry, and music in a striking ensemble by tartan rebels Prickly Thistle. The suit design was imagined by Prickly Thistle founder, Clare Campbell, who last year also designed two limited edition tartans in support of the National Trust for Scotland's Save Our Scotland appeal: The Hands of the Future and the Hands of the Past. When Clare learned of the SOS appeal, the idea of heritage in your hands was born, and of course in your hands would be the fabric of Scotland - a tartan.

Yours will be the only replica suit in existence, a fully tailored fit in your choice of the Hands of the Past or Hands of the Future bespoke tartan cloth. (Edith and model are wearing the Hands of the Future tartan; view the Hands of the Past tartan here. The tartan has been woven at Prickly Thistle's Highland-based mill, the only mill in the mainland region, and the suit is fully tailored at our mill sewing studio. Clare will contact the winner to arrange/assist with required measurements. A copy of the relevant tartan certificate, as recorded in The Scottish Register of Tartans, will be provided. A truly fashionable and unique piece!
