Edinburgh holiday with exclusive visit to Mount Stuart and two nights on the Isle of Bute.

Curated by Paul Roberts, Vice-Chairman of Lyon & Turnbull and President of Freeman's of Philadelphia, this exclusive excursion will start in Edinburgh with a champagne or tea reception at Lyon & Turnbull auction house followed by three nights' stay at The Balmoral, an Edinburgh icon at the heart of the city and the perfect location from which to discover the stunning architecture, endless winding streets, and historic landmarks of Scotland's capital. Dinner is included on one night at the hotel.

Next, journey by car and ferry with Mr. Roberts to Mount Stuart on the Isle of Bute, the home of the Marquess of Bute and one of the UK's foremost collections of artworks and artifacts. Following a delicious lunch, Charlotte Rostek, the Steward of the House and Bute Collection, will give an extensive private tour of this unique Scottish treasure house. You will be instantly captivated by the scope of the collection, from the outstanding 18th- and 19th-century British portraiture by Ramsay, Reynolds, Gainsborough, Lawrence, and Raeburn to the recently discovered Shakespeare First Folio. Walk beneath the star-spangled ceiling of the Marble Hall and onwards to the breathtaking wonder of the extraordinary Burges Chapel, a masterpiece of Gothic Revival.

With stars in your eyes, you will check in for two nights at the St Ebba B&B, a Victorian villa overlooking Rothesay Bay toward Cowal Peninsula, Loch Striven, and the Kyles of Bute. Your room is an en-suite and breakfast each morning includes fresh home-cooked local produce, pancakes, and smoked fish. The inn has a comfortable contemporary style, blending well with the traditional feel of Scottish holidays on the Isle of Bute, a tourist destination for centuries of visitors seeking relaxation in the peaceful surroundings of the island.
