Filma Jackson Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Filma Jackson dedicated her life and has given her heart, mind and soul to nurturing and caring for thousands of children throughout the Hudson Valley. She inspired and gave freely of her time, talent, and treasure.
Over the past 25 years, no one has done more to help the most vulnerable children in our communities. Many have been inspired by Filma. She has spent her life as an activist devoted to children, service and social justice. Watching and working with her was one of the greatest gifts anyone could ever receive. She led by example and loved abundantly.
Filma has left a legacy which we would like to keep alive in the years to come through an endowment scholarship fund at Mount Saint Mary College. What better way to honor our "wife, mother, aunt, friend" than continuing her legacy and business mission statement:

Thanks to many generous supporters, we have raised almost $8,000 towards our goal of $25,000 to endow, in perpetuity, a scholarship in Flima's memory. When fully endowed, Filma's scholarship will be awarded to an academically strong, first-generation college student from the Hudson Valley, with financial need.
