Silent Auction FAQ

When can I begin bidding on auction items? Our Red Door Bash silent auction goes live (on this site) on Wednesday, Sept. 29 at 8 a.m. CST and closes Saturday, Oct. 9 at 9 p.m. CST.

Do I have to buy a Red Door Bash ticket to participate in the auction? No, our auction is open to anyone and everyone who registers with the event site. No ticket is required, although we'd love to have you join us for this part of the event, too.

How does the silent auction work? The auction is an online auction (hosted on this site - just click on the ITEMS button above), so you can participate from anywhere using your smartphone, tablet, or computer. To learn more, check out this great YouTube video.

How do I participate in the auction? Get started from this page: Just click the REGISTER NOW button towards the top of the page and enter your name, cell phone number, e-mail address, and credit card information. Registering with your cell phone number ensures you receive text notifications specific to your items/bids.

How do I start and continue my bidding? Browse the silent auction by clicking on the ITEMS button above. Scroll, and when you see an item of interest, click on it and then enter your bid! You can also star your favorite items by clicking the STAR icon under your favorite items - this makes it easy to find your favorites as you're determining what to bid on. All of your starred items, along with items you have bid on, can be viewed in the MY ACTIVITY tab.

How do I keep active and know if I am outbid or have won an item? You will be notified via text if you have been outbid, hit your bid maximum, and/or won an item. If you are NOT receiving text messages, make sure you have the correct mobile number in your profile. Use Max Bidding to ensure you win by clicking the AUTO BID tab. Next, enter a bid up to a certain amount and the site will automatically increase your bidding as needed to keep you winning. The bid will increase until your amount is reached - set it and forget it.

How do I collect the items I win? When the silent auction closes at 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9, you will receive a text message if you won any items. Auction winners are required to make payment the night of the event. All auction items will be available for pick up at Gilda's Club at 1707 Division Street, Nashville, TN 37203 on Monday, Oct. 11 or by appointment. If you unable to pick up your item(s), it can be mailed to you. A member of our team will connect with you regarding payment of shipping and insurance fees and your preferred shipping address.
