What do you do with hundreds of corks and wine caps, all collected from family and friends? Patricia Rizzotto designs a planter. Each cork or cap is carefully glued to the stainless steel bucket, one by one, as a design unfolds. The corks are then sealed. While this is waterproof, keeping it outside in the elements is not recommended. It can be used on a covered porch. This cork planter is sitting on a beautiful hand-hewn white oak stand designed by Forrest Inn Kiln just for this project. You can get your garden started with the herbs--cilantro, basil, thyme, parsley--and your petite garden tools and gloves. Garden soil not included. And, yes, if you don't want an herb garden, you can fill it with ice to chill your wine for your next party! While sipping your wine, you can enjoy reading the writing on the corks!
