Bio: Roberto Catasus had an early interest in photography that led him to a lifetime fascination for "capturing images" and a great affinity "to the use of color." His goal is to create fine art photographs; images that are both artistically ins[pired and technically excellent. For him, art in the form of a photograph is primarily the product of a person, not of a machine. A photograph printed directly from the original capture is unsatisfying. Such an image represents the work of a camera rather than his vision and emotions. To satisfy his creativity he "needs" to work on his photographs after the image capture is completed according to his memories of the original scene.

Robert is a photographer specialized in travel, nature, and abstract photography. For more than 40 years he has explored the globe creating unforgettable images culminating in his new limited edition photography series "Cities of the World", commencing with New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, Miami, Dallas, Boston, and Washington D.C.

He started his career studying architecture and later on went and got his degree in construction management. It is from this intense integration of these two disciplines and his great interest in photography that comes his passion to photograph cities. Roberto produces his own prints with state of the art wide format printers; the entire creative process of an image is under his control. He was born in Cuba and resides in Miami, Florida.
