At SBS, dance is community-oriented, nonhierarchical, body-positive, and culturally relevant. This summer, students will take technique classes in contemporary, ballet, and jazz dance forms. They will practice improvisation and learn basic composition skills. At the end of the week, students will share their learnings in an informal performance for their family and friends. Students will forge meaningful relationships with each other and most importantly, have fun!

Through participation in the Stoneleigh-Burnham performing arts camp, students will also spend time learning and rehearsing a fun program of choral music together that they will perform at the end of the week. Throughout the week, students will have the opportunity to learn about vocal technique and vocal health, work on acting and emoting while singing through a variety of acting games, and practice musicianship skills, such as ear training and sight singing. Campers will work to improve upon skills that are important in both solo and ensemble (choral) singing.

Students from ages 10-18 can enjoy a week of Performing Arts summer camp at SBS from June 27-July 3. This is a co-ed program for all and this item includes boarding fees and all meals.
