Edible and Medicinal Plant Walk
Plant walk for group size up to 6 people, ages 12 and up. We'll find a central location in the metro area and take a walk, looking for native and introduced plants that are edible and/or have medicinal uses. Both native American and European uses of the various plants will be covered.
Potential locations include the Audubon Center, Cherry Creek SP, South High School, and Bear Creek Greenbelt. Any place with natural habitats is a good place to explore, including city alleys. When people discover edible plants in their "backyards" they're more likely to harvest them and remember them.
The walk will take about 2 hours. The best time for this walk is from late April to late May.
Expiration is May 2022.
Certificate for this item will be emailed/mailed to the winner.
