Experience the dramatic wonder of over 500,000 Sandhill Cranes converging on the Platte River Valley near Alda, NE with this trip for 6. National Geographic named this annual migration event of one of North America's greatest natural wildlife phenomena, drawing people from across the world.

Pull up your front row seat directly on the river at the Jane Goodall private blind! Jane says seeing the cranes feeds her soul!. Spend the evening watching over 30,000 Sandhill Cranes fly in as they settle in the Platte River for the night. During the day there are thousands in the nearby fields fueling up before continuing north to their nesting ground. Folks often see the endangered Whooping Cranes nearby.

The winner of this package will receive lodging for 6 people for 2 nights at the program's lodge on the Platte River as well as personally guided trips for up to 6 people with executive staff from the Platte River Recovery Implementation Program which maintains this area. The peak of the migration generally occurs during the second half of March. Dates for the trip are flexible within the month of March, however reservations must be made in February 2022 for dates in March 2022. Please note that the drive from the lodge to the blinds is one hour. Travel to Nebraska and meals are not included. No smoking in the lodge, and no pet allowed.
