THURMAN MASON - As a DC alumni (class of '68) my life journey has been heavily impacted by my time at DC. My artistic journey is dedicated to the greatest of all artists; to the one who flings glorious sunsets across the sky; he is the designer and builder of worlds.
I have not always been an artist, but I have always been infected with curiosity and a desire for discovery. Seven years ago this quest led me into woodturning. The wood that I carve, burn, paint, and turn has been cut down from its roots, separated from its source of life, and through a process of refinement, will reveal the awesome beauty that was always there but had been hidden until revealed through death; it is a metaphor of what Christ has done for humanity.
