This landscape is a giclee print with a deckled edge on archival paper hand embellished by the artist, Ann Coman, with vibrant pure pigment pastels. The artwork measures 16" wide x 12" high and is custom framed with a rich double matte and a slim profile black frame to complement the subject matter.

Total size framed is 26" wide x 22" high.

Out in the county every late Spring, the farmers bail their first crop of hay. On one occasion, Ann observed the same field every hour on the hour and noticed how dynamic it became, full of long shadows and deep sweeping slopes as the sun kissed the pastures. The bails became gorgeous sundials telling time as they stood in the heat, hence the title of this painting.

Ann is a long-time resident of Augusta County and frequently paints the majestic landscapes that surround her. Visit her website www.5earts.com for more information.
