Hawaiian Koa wood bowl

Koa is rare and beautiful, and is widely considered one of the finest woods in the world, with unmatched depth, color, and grain texture. The wood can glow.

Because koa only grows in Hawaii and many local laws are in place to protect it, its wood can only be harvested from dead trees on public lands. Its beauty and rarity make koa among the most expensive woods in the world at $150 per board-foot.

This bowl is 12"diameter and 3" high.

Value: $350
