Duckhorn Cabernet Sauvignon Trio

2013 Patzimaro Vineyard

This bright, red-fruited cabernet grew at an estate vineyard in western St. Helena, on light, gravelly soils at the base of Spring Mountain. Its time in (mostly new) French oak took the cranberry and floral strawberry flavors of the grapes toward warm baking spice and a rich, spherical structure. What's impressive about that richness is that it comes without any excess weight, allowing the cool tannins of the vintage and the beauty of the fruit to last. It ends on a bright note of roses, of red fruit and savory, cracked-peppercorn spice, clean and refreshing.

The multifaceted 2017 Duckhorn Vineyards Three Palms Merlot is a standout wine. This wine deftly combines black fruits and graphite in its aromas and flavors. Enjoy its firm and expansive palate with a juicy, grilled ribeye topped with minced shallots and many grinds of whole black peppercorns.

2017 Rector Creek Vineyard, Napa Valley

From 100% estate fruit this rich, structured and powerfully built red is vanilla on the nose and herbaceous on the palate, with a thickness of youthful tannin. Blueberry, currant, cinnamon and clove wrap around the core, finishing in dark chocolate.
