The Virginia Axe Company, located just an axe throw away from Short Pump, is a locally owned recreational and instructional axe and sport knife throwing studio. We are open to the public for corporate team building events, birthday parties, bachelor/ette parties, private lessons, and for those individuals who just want to learn the art of axe and sport knife throwing. Our 3,000-square-foot facility offers five throwing pits which can accommodate large events.

We bring years of real experience to these sports. We didn't just jump into a new fad and take it corporate. We've been competing nationally in the bladed sports arena for years. We are proud to bring our years of award-winning competitive knife and axe throwing experience to the Richmond area community.

Our mission is to provide an exciting new adventure, cause no unnecessary waste in our process, and inspire new bladed sports participants through sharing our competitive knowledge, experience, and passion.

We are committed to using regionally repurposed timber cut targets from naturally or already downed trees. Though we may offer different types of target builds, any materials we use are recycled responsibly.
