Tapestry 78 by Richard Parrish
**1st Place, Work Valued Over $1K**
Richard Parrish is a Montana-based artist and educator working in kilnformed glass in Bozeman, Montana. As an artist and an architect, he finds inspiration in both the natural and the human-made environments. The Tapestry panels are widely recognized for their intricate patterning and coloration. Inspired by repetitive rows in fields of grain and hand woven fabrics. The wall mounted panel is subtly warped, alluding to cloth in a breeze, expressing softness in a hard material. The composition of this work explores the juncture between organic and geometric.
