Fishing (Seasonal)
All McGraw waters are managed by biologists to provide an unparalleled and sustainable fishing experience. The Foundation's 15 fishing lakes and Trout Stream are filled with all of the popular Midwestern game fish - and some you might not expect in Illinois. More than two dozen species of fish, including largemouth and smallmouth bass, tiger muskellunge ("muskey") and walleye swim in our waters. Guides, fishing gear and comfortable boats will be provided, making for some of the finest and most unique recreational fishing experiences in the entire Midwest. Fish-cleaning service offered if you want to take your fish home for a meal.

Guided Hunt or Guided Shooting (Seasonal)
McGraw is one of the nation's oldest and finest shooting preserves. We offer hunting for upland birds, doves, waterfowl and deer archery only). All upland and waterfowl hunts are guided. Deer hunts are unguided. Licenses are required and can be accommodated.

McGraw has a world- class clay target facility. The Foundation's range offers sporting clays, 5-stand, skeet, trap, and other shooting games that appeal to the novice and expert alike. Originally designed by renowned British instructor John Higgins and expanded and updated by world champion shooter Anthony Matarese Jr., our sporting clays course is one of the best in the Midwest. It offers realistic hunting presentations in a natural, wooded setting. Expert instruction is available, either from the Foundation's guide team or from nationally recognized instructors who visit McGraw each year.

Lunch at Pond Cottage
For generations, those who have walked through the doors of Pond Cottage have been greeted with a level of hospitality that warms the spirit and delights the senses. It is the ultimate retreat, offering an atmosphere that inspires thought, relaxation and congeniality.

A culinary team stands ready to serve meals that will please even the pickiest palate, from gourmet game dishes to the best walleye in the Midwest (the staff will accommodate food allergies that can be coordinated beforehand). No one leaves McGraw hungry.

Sit back around our outdoor fire pit, watch the trout rise in the spring-fed Pepper Family Trout Stream, and listen to the owl and coyote chorus warming up for an evening concert. Watch the stars rise over a moonlit lake. Savor the setting. Tomorrow can wait.
