Dr. Anton Treuer is a Professor of Ojibwe at Bemidji State University - a "language warrior" fighting to preserve the Ojibwe language in future generations. An author of many books, Dr. Treuer's work has put him on a path of service around the region, the nation, and the world. He has received more than 40 awards and fellowships, including ones from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the National Science Foundation, the MacArthur Foundation, the Bush Foundation, and the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation.
