The winning bidder may book a 7-night stay at this 3-bedroom cabin during July 2021, August 2021 or February 2022.
Whispering Pines Description:
Whispering Pines Chalet is an amazing property located at the highest point of Valley of the Sun, just North of Fairplay, Colorado. The home is about 5 minutes North of Fairplay and 30 minutes South of Breckenridge. The views are breath-taking. The 2.5 acre property is very secluded with views of pine trees, spruce, and aspen. The cabin is centrally located to activities in Breckenridge, Buena Vista, South Park, and Colorado Springs and Canon Springs.
Whispering Pines is a three bedroom home with 2 full bathrooms and one half bath. Sleeping arrangements include two queen beds, a bunk bed, and a queen sleeper sofa. This cabin is fully equipped with kitchen appliances and cooking utensils, deck, gas grill, picnic area, trail, a hot tub, an outdoor play area for kids, games, and towels.
Please note, the cabin is located at 11,000 feet altitude (most hiking/skiing is located at 9,000 feet altitude).
Visiting in the summer (July 2021 or August 2021): In the summer, there is horseback riding just South of Fairplay at the Platte Ranch. There is fishing very near the property. There is fishing right on the Platte River which has gold medal fishing. Hiking trails are all around in the Pike National Forest. 4-wheel drive recommended as cabin is accessed by dirt road.
Visiting in the winter (February 2022): Visitors will enjoy world class skiing and snowboarding at Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, and A-Basin. They are a short 30 minutes drive from the home. Breckenridge has fabulous shopping and restaurants too. A 4-wheel drive car with snow tires is required for road access in the winter.
