Students in eighth grade were inspired by the colorful artwork of Wassily Kandinsky, and each student was charged with filling up two squares with linework and vibrant stipes. The results are fantastic, and there is such diversity in the outcome of all of the individual pieces. The beauty of this project is seeing how all of the unique and colorful squares unite to form a bold, cohesive and joyful abstract composition. The artwork, on an 18 x 24 canvas board has a finishing layer of resin that protects the artwork and also gives it a brilliant glassy finish. The resulting artwork is stunning and is such a beautiful representation of the students. Artissima Studio in Fox Chapel was thrilled to collaborate with Mrs. Studebaker at CDTCA to realize this beautiful collaborative artwork.
