Description: "This work is part of an ongoing series of artworks that read "WAITING". What the word refers to is open ended. At a personal level, as an artist living on the U.S./Mexico border region, it could be mundane things such as the border wait time to cross back from Mexico to the U.S., or as an adjunct art instructor teaching at various colleges, for the opportunity of a full-time teaching position or of a more stable job in my field. Under the current situation, the work could refer to how we are all waiting for the pandemic to end, and at a social and political level, for change that would benefit the majority. But while I'm waiting, I am also making. "
