The Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center in Mystic provides a sanctuary for wildlife and humans alike. The natural history museum on Pequotsepos Road provides a home to numerous species of wildlife, flora and fauna. The more than 300-acre sanctuary and 10 miles of trails gives visitors a chance to experience nature first hand. The 45-acre Coogan Farm on Greenmanville Avenue features an heirloom orchard and community Giving Garden in addition to protected critical watersheds and ecosystems for wildlife, both native and migratory.
