Quilter: Mary Jo Mettler, Our Redeemer Lutheran Church

Story:
This quilt started out to be a way to use up leftover fabric. I had the bird squares and the border fabric but no idea of what to do with them. I came across a picture of the same bird square done with the framing you'll see on the pictures. I'd never done mitered borders so it was something new to try. That meant a trip to the quilt shop for the framing fabric. and for backing. So of course now I have more scraps to find a use for. Those of you who are quilters totally understand.

Quilt Size: 52 x 63 1/2

Fabric Content:
Top and back fabrics are 100% cotton
Batting is 80/20 80% cotton 20% polyester

Binding Method: All machine stitched

Quilting Method: Machine quilted by Linda Beal of Hinckley MN

Quilting design: Hearts and Flowers

Quilt Pattern Name: Birds on branches

Care Instructions: This quilt can be machine washed and dried.
