Donated from Salem Lutheran Church, Longville, MN; Created and Quilted by Linda Bechtold

In 2015, I retired to Longville and joined Salem Lutheran church. There was a quilting group in church as well as a Busy Needles group that met at church weekly. They welcome newbies in quilting. I had a sewing machine then but no experience in quilting. I met a wonderful Christian woman, Diane Wiehle, who was an outstanding quilter. She and others at the church answered my questions, gave me helpful hints, and supported my interest in learning to quilt. Diane donated several quilts yearly in support of ELCA outreaches including Hunger. Diane went home to heaven two years ago. Her magical quilts left with her. She is dearly missed. This is a creation of scraps, jelly roll, and Batik borders. I remain a novice in quilting. But my lap quilts are welcoming, warm in the winter, and quilted with love. This is donated in Diane's memory.
