This piece is sure to bring a smile to your face and remind you to share HEART where ever you go.
In 5th grade students learn about optical blending and using pointillism to create a work of art. The class of 2026 auction project brings all the student's in the class together to create a cohesive work of art using only dots. The dots are created using artist quality alcohol markers and archival paper. This year the pointillism subject focuses on the lighthouse found at the Buffalo Outer Harbor, further connecting the Class of 2026 to the greater Buffalo Community.
The Class of 2025 used their knowledge of water and properties of water to create two water color paintings-one using warm colors and one using cool colors. Students then applied ink and marker to create designs and emphasize the water patterns. The artwork was then cut to create an interesting pattern, and a one of a kind work of art.
The Class of 2024 painted various wood forms and shapes using watercolor paints. Students focused on color and designs to draw the viewer's eye throughout the piece. Shapes were then balanced on each other to create a unique low relief sculpture that hangs in a deep shadowbox.

Joiner Photography created this unique 26"x26" framed image of the Nichols School entrance.
Joiner Photography involves the use of two or more separately taken images of a single scene to create a larger one by physically overlapping them or by digitally merging them. It differs from montage photography in that it looks to expand the area of view of the photograph as opposed to insert several elements into a given picture frame. From this point on there are many directions to take the image in terms of shape, viewpoints, subject, narrative, time and style. These all involve more personal choices by the creator and provide the potential for a more intimate and individually driven photograph.
