Artist statement:

These paintings started in 2020 as a process for meditating and self grounding. After soaking a sheet of paper in water, the colorfields are made using layers of washes of watered down ink, paint, and microglitter to emulate the surface of a well glazed piece of pottery held up close. The content comes from a desire to symbolize the spark of an idea before it has become words, images, or actions however the ambiguous nature is meant to create an open space for the viewers to find their own relationship with the subject matter.
